The outsource model

Aeropia takes full ownership of on-site inventory, all products remaining the property of Aeropia until ‘called-off’. Depending on circumstances Aeropia may commence a Consignment Inventory contract by purchasing all existing customer inventory.

Aeropia has developed its own bar-coding system for inventory control in Consignment Contracts – called ACT – which tracks inventory levels and consumption to ensure ready replenishment as required. All goods are scanned out of the warehouse and inventory data is updated in real time both locally and centrally at Aeropia.

Depending on the level of contract, Aeropia supports Consignment Inventory services with dedicated on-site support staff. Levels of support are tailored to the individual requirement and range from local management for compliance with the ACT bar code system, right down to a ‘inventory-at-bench’ service for high-use consumables in the workplace.

While there are transparent cashflow and capital benefits to this model, the value of efficiencies that can be gained in engineering and production time can be significantly greater.
